When my husband bought me a Beijo bag for me for Valentine’s Day 6 years ago, I had no idea that bag would make such a huge impression in my life. I knew I loved the bag… there was no question about that! Who wouldn’t love the petal pink “Uptown” style?! It was fit for a Barbie!!
At the time I was a stay-at-home mother of two adorable toddlers. Money was tight, but leaving my kids in day care wasn’t something I was willing to consider. When I called to learn more, I quickly found myself with 100 bags en route to my house. Within a few weeks, more bags were on the way and I was spending evenings and weekends at various shows and parties around town.
Having the flexibility to work my Beijo schedule around my children’s activities has allowed my family to enjoy the benefits of having one parent home all the time. I have happy, involved, community-minded children, who very willingly donate their time and efforts at fundraisers and activities where I represent Beijo. They have learned the value of working to earn money, and take time to help me carry and set up booth space in order to earn a few dollars. They’ve seen me work a booth all day, and then turn around and donate all of my earnings to the charity. They’ve seen what it means to enjoy rewards when they are well earned. Most importantly, they’ve been able to grow up with the security of knowing that they are loved and the most important priority in my life… which I hope equates to them doing great things for the world. Because of Beijo, I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to give my children that gift.
