FAQs

Q: Where can I buy a Beijo handbag?

A: While a home party in your area is the most likely place to purchase a Beijo handbag, you’ll also find them featured at trade shows, corporate functions and charity fundraisers, plus select boutiques. For availability in your area, just visit our website at www.beijobags.com and click the Sales Rep button at the bottom of the page. You’ll be prompted to choose your home state, after which you’ll be provided with the name and e-mail address of your nearest Beijo representative; simply e-mail that person to find out where to get a Beijo handbag in your area.
And while you’re visiting our website, you can view all our styles by clicking the Collection button. Or click on About Beijo to find out more about Susan Handley, Beijo’s founder and sole designer.

Q: How much can I expect to pay for a Beijo handbag?

A: While our suggested retail price structures are subject to seasonal changes, they currently range from about CAD $79 to $119, with the exception of our Business Class. These prices are what you can expect to find at home parties, and do not pertain to trade show prices which are often slightly higher. This price structure was implemented intentionally by Susan Handley. Her goal was to focus on home parties, since the camaraderie, empowerment and personalized sales relationships which women share at these parties are fundamental to Susan’s vision for her company. To ensure the integrity of these parties, and the affordability of her designs, Susan has turned down many offers to sell her products at large department stores. You might, however, find Beijo products at selected boutiques, which do not have set retail prices.

Q: How can I learn more about hosting a Beijo home party?

A: Simply contact your nearest Sales Rep via our website, as described above, and ask for details on how you too can become a part of Beijo.

Q: Let’s say the strap on my bag breaks. Will you replace the bag?

A: We'll gladly replace your bag for any manufacturing malfunction that occurs within our 90-day warranty. When you purchase your Beijo bag, you'll activate the warranty by filling out a brief form that provides the following information: name, mailing address, email address, contact phone number, date of purchase, amount paid, location of purchase, style #, and color. Then, to receive a replacement, you'll need to send your damaged bag to us at the following address:

J'adore Bags Ltd.
22 Wentworth Grove SW
Calgary, Alberta
T3H 5K4

In order to help us quickly process your replacement order, we ask that you contact our Customer Service Department before sending in your damaged bag. You can call us at (505) 323-9600, or send an email to customerservice@beijobags.com. Your bag will be replaced as soon as possible, usually within two weeks if a replacement is in stock.

Q: Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

A: While we are happy to replace your bag per the warranty guidelines described above, our general policy is not to provide refunds or exchanges. The reality is that we just don’t get many such requests. Our customers seem delighted with Susan’s designs, and we constantly monitor our manufacturing standards to ensure that you receive the highest quality product.

Q: How do I keep my Beijo bag looking brand new?

A: To take the best care of your bag, we suggest the following rules of thumb:
  • When not using your handbag, store it in the dust cover that’s provided with every style.
  • For polishing or simple cleanings, use household products and a soft cloth (your dust cover will work great).
  • If your bag is a lighter color, it’s best not to let it come in contact with newspapers, photocopies or other such printed materials. This is especially true in hot weather, since the lighter colors can soak up images when overheated.
  • No matter what color your bag, always avoid contact with ink—these are the toughest stains to get out.
  • For harder stains and scratches, the material of a Beijo bag is one that requires special attention. Products like Goo Gone or Soft Scrub can be effective, but ONLY if you create heat and friction while cleaning. For best results, use a porous cloth (such as the dust cover) and rub repeatedly until it gets hot under your finger, taking care not to be too rough on the material. When cleaning your bag in this way, the idea is to be cautious, but assertive.

Q: How do I make sure I’m getting a genuine Beijo?

A: While it’s been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, we want to make sure that the Beijo you buy is the real deal. Fortunately, part of Susan’s philosophy is to have a set pricing structure, ensuring an affordability that doesn’t lend itself to knockoffs. This approach seems to be working, since no counterfeit Beijo handbags have yet come to our attention. However, if you do feel your Beijo handbag might not be authentic, please contact our Customer Service Department at (505) 821-4197. And, coming soon, every Beijo bag will come with a certificate of authenticity.

Q: Where are Beijo bags made?

A: Every Beijo handbag begins with the inspiration of Florida-based designer Susan Handley. The bags are then designed in the USA, and manufactured in China.

Q: What materials are used in making a Beijo bag?

A: Our bags begin with durable polyvinyl, to which we add a combination of special materials for our signature pearlescent finish.

Q: Can Beijo bags be recycled?

A: Our Customer Service Department is currently locating a recycling center for any severely damaged or retired Beijo handbags. This location is to be rolled out by mid summer of 2005.

Q: Are the bags shown on your website available at all home parties?

A: In order to maintain the fresh, original flair of the Beijo collection, some styles are produced on a limited basis, and not all styles will be available in all colors. The bags shown on our website are meant to provide a representative idea of Beijo’s unique look. Susan is constantly working to introduce new designs to the collection, in colors that stay ahead of the curve in the ever-changing world of fashion. When you attend a Beijo home party, we hope that part of the fun will be in discovering what’s new.

Beijo Customer Service Mission Statement:

Susan wants you to love your Beijo handbag as much as she enjoyed designing it for you.
